I am really impressed with this new Federal Auto Match. It shoots very well in my three 22 rifles. In my old Remington 513 with a post front sight it will clean the A36 target in prone. The A36 is a tough target, the ten ring is the same size as the period at the end of this sentence.

I know those A36 targets.  I shot them in college while on the OSU Smallbore Rifle team.  And I used a Win 52D.  We competed in AAU 3 Position Indoor.  Was a blast, but ya right about cutting a 10.  It was tough.

I have not tried the new Fed Auto match but did use the older Fed Match for a couple years in NRA Smallbore Pistol & Rifle Silhouette.  Real good ammo, very consistent in accuracy in my T/C's and Lakefield Rifle.

I did change to Win Super-X tho.  It seemed to handle the wind of outdoor shooting better then the Federal.  But I still have about a half-brick.  And it still shoots good.

Shoots pretty good in my Ruger Mark II Target also. Although I'm not a very good pistol shooter anymore, can't see the rear sight.

Is there anything that can be done about the vision problem there?

Well, the front sight will give you torso alignment, from there it is nothing more the point shooting.  Center mass.  Pop till they drop.

Well I pretty much gave up shooting people in 1969. Now I only shoot bullseye. I was thinking of making an aperture for it.

I was only thinking self defense pard.....

And a Ghost Ring can work.... seen them on a Glock.  My Wife loves them. (The ghost rings..not the Glocks.)

I have made rear sight blades for the Rugers out of hacksaw blades. I think I could just drill a proper sized hole in one and install it.

Federal Automatch has gone up to $14.47 at Walmart. But they had 10 boxes in stock. I only bought 2, that was all the money I had on me.

The more I shoot of this stuff the more I am impressed with it. It shoots better than the Wolf MT in all my rifles.
