Deadly_Dakota wrote: I am new to this forum but I feel so right at home. My favorite Rimfire is the one I just aquired from a friend. It is a Mossberg & Sons Palomino model 402. It is in Mint condition, looks like it was just taken from the box, and it shoots everything flawlessly. Not a bad deal for helping someone out and this is what I got in return. Around here I use it for chucks, and it has proven to be a very valuable tool. I will get some pics up here of it when I can figure out how to do that.
i'm new here myself but welcome to the forum! i think that's called karma.... and shooters are mostly just great people....................

My original favorite .22rf was a Winchester model 1890 mfg in 1907. Came into the family about 1910 when my great uncle bought it from a railroad worker who used it shoot rattlesnakes ahead of the track layers. I got it over 50 years ago, and still shoot it. My current favorite is a Ruger 10-22 with a Volquartsen quick twist bbl to shoot the Aguila .22sss 60 gr bullet. What a tackdriver! good shooting

| I have a LH T-Bolt II with eye popping wood that is one I will never be without. It's my all time favorite. Very accurate but I don't carry it too much for fear of gouging the wood.

| I guess I'd have to say my Ruger 77/22. Maybe because I have three Ruger "big boy" 77s and the little guy just fits right in. I have a T/C with a custom match bull barrel, also .22LR, that will outshoot it, but the T/C just doesn't have the overall appeal of the little Ruger.

| I have an afliction, like eating potato chips. Once you start you just can't stop. When I was 5 my grandfather tought me to shoot using his Remington 510. When I was 9 I got a 512 for Christmas. Now I am 61 and own fourteen 510, 511, 512 and 513 guns. But, that is just the beginning, I have enough parts (barrels, stocks, etc) to build 12 more. I just can not pass up a good 510-513 gun that needs TLC. They shoot and are a real good 22 rifle. Here is a picture or two: Attachment: 511-512 stitched.JPG (Downloaded 62 times)

While I have 3 or 4 22lr, my favorite is the Winchester Model 62 that my father bought new years ago. No telling how many rds my brother and I put thru it and grandkids, 5, are doing the same. It has been carried in seat of pickups so long with barrel resting on floor, crown now looks sorta like the point of a nail. Still shoots good though.

| Can't have to many 22s. I like all of mine but if I had to pick one it would be a Remington Nylon 66. Had mine for ove 35 years and it just keeps on shooting those ragged one hole groups at 50 yards. I don't recall it ever jamming or any other problems. Really showing its age now but it is still the 22 I pick up most of the time.

| Kimber model 82 Government after I finally shot it enough to get rid of the rough spot about 3 inches down stream from the chamber.

| only made it have way through but it seems that the 10/22 is winning. I had alot of trouble with mine, it wouldn't shoot straight. After 4 years and lots of rounds I threatened to sell it. Brought it to a friends place and left it with him for a couple of weeks and he played with it and now it shoots. But my fav 22 is my vostoc. The outside looks like a paddle but it shoots better than I can. I'll see if I can find a pict. of it and post it.

can't see as good as I could as a kid so I have to use scopes on my rims .... My favorite as a kid was a Gambles 5 shot clip feed. iron sights... not as acurate as my old remington s-l-lr tube feed that will shoot 10 shot nickel size at 50 and the other fav is my marlin 22mag shoots one ragged hole 10 shot at 100 yds. i bought a new 10/22 but haven't been impressed with the acuracy and it has a tendency to jamb.... will probably have to put a few more bricks through it....
