I have a bunch of 22 rifles but my favorite is the Left Hand bolt action Kimber . This rifle is one of the first Kimber, when they where made OR . I have a Leupold Tactical 6 power with 42 mm AO and Mil-Dot Ret. with Warne Rings. This is one of my favorite squirrel rifle , shooting ragged hole at 50 yards with the CCI Mini-Mag HP. How many people like hunting squirrel with the 22 rimfire?

Thats a Leupold Vari X II 3-9X 40MM sitting on top
This is how it shoots if I do my part. billt

The A-Bolt was one great 22 the only thing i had against it was the bolt was on the wrong side.

| I really like my 10/22 a lot and it's taken many squirrels over the years. But I have a soft spot for the 9422 I picked up a few years ago. It's a pleasure to hold and shoot. Seems like whenever I take some young folks shooting they want to shoot it the most too. Attachment: 9422-400.jpg (Downloaded 397 times)

This is my second favorite. It's a Marlin 39A. I really like the heft of this rifle. Plus the fact it's all Walnut and blued steel, no Aluminum. I haven't scoped it as of yet. I kind of like the stock sights. It's amazing if you take the time and practice how good you can hit with them. This rifle is almost impossible to get away from my wife when we go shooting. Something about a lever action. billt

| Remington 550 series. They will shoot CCI CB shorts semi auto! Also happens to be a nice looking gun with walnut stock and shoots S-L-LR intermixed. I got a couple of them and my brother as a couple as well. Put a red dot on one and you got the tool.

My Remington Model 34P. Been out of production for around 70 years, still the best .22 I own - and I have quite a few.

| Hard to say which is favorite. I had a glenfield model 60, my 1st .22. Then a Mossberg 144B, which we used on the 4 position 50 ft. team. That was were I learned to shoot the thumbtacks off the targets of my mates next to me. Then I had a Mossberg bolt with the 24" barrel. Didn't like that one much. Picked up an Anshutz m64 sillouette rifle that pointed were I pointed, at least till I scoped it. Then a 10-22 which I really love. So much to do to/with them. Also a Win 52 that shoots 10 into 3/8" @ 50 yds. Beautiful gun! I picked up a used Marlin 39A which I lusted for all my life. I have a single six & MkII also to round them out. For looks I'd say the Winchester. For fun the 10-22. For the woods or plinking, maybe the 39A.

I love the Marlin 39 and it is my first choice for walking in the woods and just plinking. I have always wished Winchester would offer their Model 52 in Left Hand.

Win. 67 ss, best shooter I have had, Win. 63, next best, until it was stolen in '61.
Worst, Rem. 550A, bought new in '55, converted itself to burst fire by '56 and traded for a H&R 999 in '56.
Sorta all right, Win. 190 and Mossberg s-l-lr self loader, never better than 2" at 50yds with either.

My dad's marlin. No idea on the model#.
He got it from his dad.
and he got it from HIS dad.
It's a goofy looking bolt action, fed with a small 6 shot magazine.
AFAIK, they still make 'em today.
Treetop height, iron sights, no problem.

| I've been using a remington 597. It has done a pretty good job for me so far.

| Remington 541-T. I glassbedded the action( I had extra bedding material from another project and did it just for fun) and free floated the barrel. It is quite accurate.

Hey Doc.I agree bud.A good 10/22 is a workhorse and they are deadly.Me and Scout used mine to head shoot turtles in stock tanks..
Something about a Henry though fellas.Pure beauty in my opinion. Its not as accurate as the 10/22 (but that is without optics and my eyes aren`t as good as they once were).
If ya can`t like one of these fellas, theres somethin wrong...

| since my first 22 was a winchester 67 i have to give it the nod for obvious reasons, but in the real world of 22s if you can afford them there are only three, not counting custom guns.cooper the finest out there, then comes anschutz, then comes kimber. i have allways been a remington fan but they sure missed the boat on the 14 1/2 twist they put in them 504s.most bench 22s are 16-17-18 twist on the average. ed
