It's a shame to see it go out of production. I'd still like to get the Legacy model in 22mag.

I wish they would just keep making these guns and raise the price. This is the same exact thing that happened to the Browning Auto-5. I bought one for my wife for sporting clays shooting the year before they stopped making them. I was glad I did. I hope Marlin will never stop making the Model 39A. I paid list 5 years ago, $405.00, and it was worth every cent. billt

That does really stink.I don`t see why they don`t keep a limited supply in production and storage. That is a nice rifle..One of my buddy`s has one.
