I use Eley match in my Savage NRA 19 when I'm shooting for score. Best 25 yd BR target so far has been 243/250 7X. I've also had some fair results with Wolf Match and PMC Target. I usually clean between brands. It seems to take 5 or 6 rounds to "reseason" the barrel after cleaning. For Hunting in my Mossberg 146B Remington lead seams to work just fine. At least they always seem to shoot "minute of squirrel." RD

I have a Remington 513T and a Kimber model 82. They both shoot most ammo well with Federal UMB1 being the best. Next is Wolf Match Extra.

My fathers rifle a Springfield model 87A shoots CCI Velocitor very well but not much else, it is approaching 70 years old after all.

My .22's all have a particular taste for a certain brand--some cheap some high dollar:cool:

Just got a 10" bull match barrel for my Contender so am in the process of trying ammo.

So far funny enough the cheap Federal Champion is winning out at the 25 yard range with Aquila close behind.

This will be a sillywey pistol so need to be fairly accurate, I will try to keep you updated

Numbers of 22's around here are amazing, I still have and shoot the JC Higgins my Dad gave me when I was 10, also still have the Remmy that came next even though its kinda shot out now, If I am going plinking or just playing around I shoot cheap stuff, CCI Blazer is what I just bought a brick of but I didnt get it as cheap as what was quoted in another post here, If I am serious about putting some limb rats on the table I use CCI Velocitor works very well for me and my confidence level is way up there with it, kinda expensive and hard to find so I generally buy a brick when I find it Rick

Yesterday I bought a 325 round box of Federal Auto Match. I shoots very well in my Kimber Model 82 Government. Got them at WalMart for less than $13.00 including tax.

Every 22 seems to shoot better with a given brand of ammo, but the one brand that seems to shoot in the most guns is Federal. I have shot small bore competition for 26 years and use Federal Classic in several guns. In a couple I use Federal Gold, which is as its name implies, like gold.

I have a cardboard book box full of bricks of test ammo, which I run through every competition gun. Once I find a diet, that is all it gets fed.

I Use CCI standard  LR and find it excellent for my application in the field or range.
It's also clean to shoot.

My 10-22 likes Remington cyclone. I shoots nices little groups, and I dont get fliers with the Cyclone ammo. Plus its pretty cheap.100 yard squirrels are no problem.

 I like CCI Stingers for non edible beasties (ground squirrels and the like).  A lot of rifles won't print Stingers worth a flip but if you have one that does you have a real whacker out to 50-75 yards or so.  My second and third choices would be Winchester Power Point HPs or plain jane CCI Mini Mag HPs. Both these rounds print well in every rimfire rifle I own.  For practice  I shoot  the cheapest stuff (from a major manaufacturer that is) I can find.  I have had better luck with the cheaper "Promo" long rifle ammo from CCI, Winchester, or Federal than I've had with similar priced ammo from Remington....
