I`m thinking about jazzing up my 10/22 with a fluted .920 SS barrel and one of these Fajen stocks.Midway has em on sale for $130.00.What do you fellas think about these newer Fajen stocks? The one on my 7x57mm was an old Fajen and I really liked it.

Fajen makes good stuff. I bought one of their Laminated stocks from Midway on a closeout for my Remington XP-100, and it was a drop in perfect fit. It's a nice way to spruce up a plain looking gun.  billt

My son & I both bought the stock with a target barrel from Midway. On a calm day with average ammo you cam lay in 1" or less groups.

Both of ours will group 1" or less @ 100 yards off the bench with Federal HP (Wal-Mart box of 500 0r 550). Some ammo does better than that. Federal Lightning solids will do 3/4" or less.

I've got a Marlin 1895 Cowboy in 45-70. It is a hoot.

I'd dress up one of my 10/22's, but I spent the money I was gonna use on 2 new Win 70's that I picked up yesterday.  I've got a couple of projects in mind, and needed a long and a short action.... I have a feeling the 270 will end up a 6.5-06-and there goes my Ruger money.

The stock looks good, tho.

If you want a really nice stock, look into one from John O Rear at http://www.rugerstocks.com. Here is the one that john made for me.

Since we're on the subject of 10/22's, has anyone checked out these 25 shot magazines? They are constructed out of aircraft grade Aluminum, and are totally CNC machined thru out. Zero plastic, except for the follower. They aren't cheap, but quality seldom is. Besides, I'm sick and tired of paying good money for magazines that don't work well. Check out the way you can custom fit each magazine to each gun.  Bill T.

I havent used them but they look pretty good. I have had pretty good service out of my butler creek 30rd mags. I also have some 50's but they dont seem to work at all with a bull barrel. The 50rd are Ram-Line.

My 3 Butler Creek 30 rd. mags work great. Had them for years. The 50 rd. and 25 rd. Ram Line's I had took a crap quick and are junk. I have to check out the aluminum mags that Billt is talking about. Have websense here at work and won't let me. What do they run $ ?

They are expensive at $65.00 each. But considering they are machined from a solid block of Aircraft Grade Aluminum, it's really not a bad price all things considered.  Bill T.

That would be alright if they would build it in a 50 rd.
