Charley maybe we could work together on this or maybe someone else is interested in helping out too for the more involved the better.  Maybe we can pick a rifle a month ane explain about it and just pick one out of the family a month and talk about it.  The family could be the "mauser family"  then pick one mauser from  one country and talk about it.  Would anyone like to see this done too?  We could all learn something i don't know everything about them but i would like to learn more too. There are some rare markings and stamps that would be what to look for when in a search for one.  Opinions wanted?  good or bad?

If our host is ok with it, I'm in. I thought it was a good idea as soon as greysmoke mentioned he would like to see some of our milsurps.

I think it's a pretty good idea guys but I personally would rather see it more broad - like "hunting rifle of the month" or "firearm of the month"  That way everybody could chime in eventually.  If one guy is big on Mauser 98's and another isn't but likes trap and skeet guns I think it would be better to have something, sometime that everyone would like.

Let's run it by with a poll and see what happens.

How do we do this?  Who do we contact?

Maybe others can get this going in the modern rifles too?

And what about the ammo section there is "New Ammo" to talk about and how about Reloading accessories like "Brands of Bullets",  the quality and likes and dislikes of Presses &  Dies.

How about the way you reload?  process?  how fussy are you?

I think there is lots of stuff to cover and talk about. I'm looking to learn too and there is so much to know about too and if everyone gets involved we can all share info, tips, tricks of the trade too. Lets kick this up a knotch to a whole new level what do you think?
