Numrcich has the clips for $3.40 each. I bought 12 and the shipping was $8.50 for a total of $48.50. All of them but one looked new. The one is a little rusty.
72,When did you buy the clips for 3.40??? They seem to have charged me considerably more .

Range Report: M95 Steyer.
I loaded 20 grains of 4198 behind the 100 grain Lebel revolver bullet. I started out on the 25 yard range to see where it was shooting. I shot a good group well centered on the black dot with the first 5 shots.
Moved to the 50 yard line and a friend of mine shot 5 shots standing. Again a group that you would expect from standing except about 3 inches low.
Moved to the 100 yard line and fired 10 shots. Raised the ladder sight to the first notch and had a good zero. None of the bullets keyholed and seemed to shoot well considering I can only see a ghost of the front sight and cannot see the rear sight at all.
The only problem of the morning was a shot that only fired the primer driving the bullet far enough into the rifling that it had to be driven out with a rod and a hammer.
Thereafter I made sure that the powder was back against the primer and had no further problem. I expected to have cycleing problems after the action was filled with 4198 but the first couple shots were a little gritty but that smoothed up and it worked well.

I have a Cetme and its the sweetest 308 semi-auto. It feels like a 22lr with recoil its that smooth. The only drawback is the charging handle other wise its an awesome rifle.
Its a century arms rifle that didn't get screwed up, a few made it thru.

Hi,
My last buy was actually a trade of a couple rifles I never used for a model 1898 Springfield Krag and a Uberit repro of a brass receiver 1860 Henry in .45 Colt.
The Krag has it's stock cut down, but other then that, all the metal is original. The barrel is a little dark, but has sharp rifling. It shoots quite well, and the barrel measures almost at .308. Bluing (or more correctly an off browning) is about 80% intact. I plan to find a complete original, unmolested Krag stock and restore it back to it's original look, complete with bayonet. Krags are a real joy to shoot. The action is so nice on these rifles. They are also very accurate. More so then most think.
The Henry is a work of art. That lever action is as smooth as butter. Once I got used to getting my hand out of the way of that cartridge follower, I was able to empty the magazine with no problems. I did find that the barrel, when using non jacketed lead pistol bullets, does tend to lead foul quickly and causes stringing of the groups. But, this rifle was never intended to be a tack driver . It shoots good for what it is and it's looks always draws attention. It is a fun lever gun for plinking. I am presently working up a load with a jacketed Hornady 250 gr HP/XTP bullet that should fix the barrel leading problem. Hopefully I'll be able to post the results soon.

I`d like to see a pic of that Henry reproduction Archangele.I have a Henry in 22lr,the yellow boy.I`ve always wished Henry would produce a, 38-55 and 45-70 yellow boy with a longer octagon barrel..I`d buy em in a heartbeat.

Timberghotz....I picked up a German 98 Mauser a few months ago! I purchased it for a nephew but after awhile, it was let known to me he really likes that .303 British jungle carbine. So I guess I'll put that on the next birthday wants.
I don't have one of those "Yellar Boys" but I do have a nice Winchester in the 44-40, I call it my Tom Horn special.

I got to battle packs of British Falkland Wars 7.62. It was a lot cheaper than at the current gun shows.

Model 1935 Mauser 98 in 7x57. Best-shooting 7x57 I own, even though my others (except the 95) have set triggers. Before that, an 1888 commission "cigarette" rifle with the S bore but bad table manners.
Mind yer topknots! And remember, this is the one country where we always get the government we deserve!

I just ordered a Romanian Tokarev in 7,62x25 today from centerfire. I couldn't pass up adding this to my collection of tok's. But it was very hard not to buy another CZ82.

There is an Enfield No 4 at Ganger Mountain right now that I really want to buy for some reason. $399. It's in decent condition, the stock feels great in my shoulder. It would be my first 303 British rifle as well...... Dunno if that is a good price for one though.

Did you try the bolt? They have one of the smoothest/fastest bolts out of all the military rifles. SOG (Southern Ohio Gun) is offering the enfield in 308 with a 12rd mag. for around $169. Last edited on Tue Jan 6th, 2009 01:06 PM by BigBill

I did notice the smooth bolt, the action felt very nice. And it looks like a service rifle, if you know what I mean. I'll check it out again this evening when I swing by Gander, though it seems the price isn't good.

Mine was an FEG PA-63 in 9x18 Mak. The price was too low to pass up. It's turned out to be a fun little shooter, with no failures or jams and reasonable accuracy. The mag lips are kind of rough on cartridge cases, though. Not a concern with Berdan-primed milsurp stuff, although that's getting a bit harder to find around here.

Already thought about it
I'll also be looking to replace the cheap emergency sights with something more suitable and the holosite it came with, with an Eotech. I would think for that kinda money Sig could afford to put better sights on it
