Well the sights are now bang on and the recrowning with a bolt and a dremil have worked wonders on this old Commie-Gun... but the stock is loose. The barrel and trigger group slide back and forth about 1/16 of an inch inside the stock with every shot.

Is there a way to fix this or do I just live with it. Today I put 3 shots out of 5 touching each other at 100 yards with Norc ammo, but then the other 2 shots had sprayed out about 4 inches away and I suspect the loose stock.

After all..It couldn't be my shooting!

I fiberglass bedded an M1 carbine one time with the same symptoms.

Look at the points of contact and carefully relieve these with a dremel tool with a small bur. Coat the metal parts with car wax degrease the wood and bed it at all the contact points.

I have never done this but I am sure there is a web site that can give you a lot more information somewhere.

By the way it improved the carbine greatly.

Look at this: http://www.sksboards.com/smf/index.php?topic=22794.0

Sounds like a good plan.

You can adjust the recoil pin in the stock. Take the trigger pack and mag out, look through the bottom at the pin. You can roll the pin around until it pushes the action back tight in the stock. Then tighten the pin.
Good luck, Kirk
