This is my wifes new Bushmaster Carbon 15 Model 21S Pistol. I mounted an EO-Tech Holographic sight on it for her, and beer cans are an endangered species out past 100 yards. This thing is a blast to shoot. Especially at night. The muzzle flash with Federal XM-193 Ball ammo is awesome! billt

She has the Bushmaster 20" A2 to go with it. She likes the "black guns" and I'm glad she does. It makes for a lot of fun together out in the desert!

This is what she can do with it on a good day. This is with the standard iron sights. Her vision is a lot better than mine!  billt

I'm not going shooting with her around.  I hate having my butt whipped by a girl.   And besides, I get that enough at home.   LOL

I've never been to keen on those AR pistols.  They just look so user un-friendly.  But I've also never fired one, so I don't know how they feel and act while being fired.   Probably a lot of fun once you get used to it.

Gunrunner,

To be honest the Bushmaster Carbon 15 line of pistols are a blast to shoot! It's a real fun gun! I let my wife buy hers sight unseen from Davidsons thru our local dealer. They have this "lifetime free replacement" thing going so I felt reasonably safe. It is very controlable, with little felt recoil, and the holographic sight doesn't require any set eye relief. Just point and shoot. The biggest "problem" is keeping her in ammo! She has put about 500 rounds thru it thus far, and the best part is she loves to clean it herself. All I had to do is show her once. She also has the Bushmaster 20" A-2 Rifle and she loves it also. Her main intrest is trap, and "black guns". She has run 25 straight in several ATA Tournaments, taking 2 Handicap trophys from 21 yards. Her best "accomplishment" was takeing a match in a shootoff by default because the guy who was supposed to shoot against her left before the shootoff. I guess he didn't want to shoot against a "girl". She loved that! So did I. All in all, we have a great time shooting together, especially at night out in the desert. When it warms up I'd like to make a video of her "bump firing" the Carbon 15 from 7 yards on a paper plate. She even promised to wear her "evening outfit". I can't wait! billt

It's nice to hear there's at least one gal out there who cleans her own weapons.   Mine doesn't want to get near any of the cleaning stuff.   Heck, she hardly goes shooting with me anymore.    It sounds like yours has a good interest in it and does quite well.   YOU GO GIRL.

I wanted to put some Hoppes #9 in one of her empty perfume bottles! She told me not to get "carried away". Common sense has to kick in somewhere! One thing I've never had a problem doing with her is getting "carried away!"  billt
