Brass? Norma is about the best, but very pricey. Lapua is as almost equal to Norma in quality, but cheaper. Graf and Son's Privi Partisan works well. Any large rifle primer will work. I use Lee dies for all my military calibers. If there is a chance of a Berdan primed case slipping in, I want the decapping pin to slide up, not break.
You didn't ask for bullet suggestions, but Remington's bulk Coreloct 180 grain for the .303 is accurate in all my .310 Mosins. The bullet is listed at .311, but every lot I've ever seen runs at .3105.

I wanted to reply to this topic, but there is something else I would like to say while
here. Why does the post/reply dialog box take so long to come up and get ready on this forum? I have to wait 3 or 4 minutes. Not so with any other forum I visit.
Now for my reply to "loading for thr 91/30".
I just havent got around to loading for mine yet.
When I do I will be using the Chezth Winchester brass from the factory ammo I got for $10 a box.
I find both my 91/30 have a tighter bore than my 91/59.
I can push a 5/16 dowl rod in to my 91/59 with out much resistance, not so withe 91/30.
So I will be trying som 308 in those two.
With my 91/59 I get keyholeing with anything less than 310 in factory/surplus ammo.
I get 3 & 4 inch groups at 100 yards with iron sight with 311 and 312.
smacks
Again, I would post/reply more if the dialog box didn't take so long
