I have an old NATO issued Greek Army piece that I want to try out at a range, but they don't allow the steel core or steel-washed ammo on the range, and I'm a little short on the type that I normally load right now. I've never messed with silvertip type rounds in my reloads.

Will my Wally World purchased factory ammo function correctly, or will the relatively soft nose create some loading problems?

I have never had any type of bullet that I have handloaded fail to function in the Garands. These handloads have run the gamut from 110 grain bulk Speer hollow points to 180 grain Remington PSPs.

I really doubt that you will have a problem with the Silver Tips.
