I guess were going to see small batches of surplus military guns arriving soon. Rumor has it some swiss rifles are comming. With the yugo sks's drying up, with some yugo 8mm mauers still around and the mosins are still available we don't have much left to pick from its slim pickens. With the ecomony so bad unfortunately we may see more at gun shows. It amybe the only time to find what your looking or your missing to fill that gap in your collection think about it.
I'm starting to see ammo prices falling is it just sales or lower prices time will tell. I'm hoping the higher ammo prices is all over. Maybe things will calm down after the election in november.

| I think IO got some Swiss 96/11s in, and they sold out almost immediately. I kinda doubt we are going to see any large numbers of surplus be imported in the future, I can't imagine there is that much more out there. Hope I'm wrong!

Charlie,
I hope your wrong also, I could use a surplus rifle that is easy to load for and "cheap" to shoot. Plus many of them are great for shooting CBs.

I think were going to see small batches imported and i hope the bluing and the finish on the stocks are dry too. I got a gut feeling these are being refurbed and shipped here for our market because there selling at a profit. I wouldn't doubt it if there being refinished on the boat on the way over here or in someones garage.
I just find it rather odd how many times the russian mosin 91/59's and the M38's keep on showing up every so often it just makes me wonder?
I think its time to hit the pawn shops. I did see some chinese sks's hitting $500 and a swede mauser CG M96 going for $450 at a local gun shop. The yugo sks's haven't dried up completely yet? So just wait and see were those prices will go......
