Hey Docs, will snow kill Pecan blooms even if it didn`t get below freezing?
My pecans are in full bloom if ya can call it that.My plums and peaches have small fruit on the tree but appear to be ok today?

Chances are that a little snow or a slight dip in temperature won't affect fruit trees. Rather, it's sharper temperatures or extended spells of bad weather that get fruit trees. However, if you see blooms starting to brown then chances are they got "bit".
As far as hardier mast trees, you've got nothing to worry about. Oaks, hickories and the like often leaf and bud much later in the season - well past dangers of frost and freezing.
Trees are "tough." If their buds or leaves are completely destroyed by weather or insect infestation they'll often try and re-leaf. It comes at a nutritional cost to them for sure but the long and short of it is that it doesn't destroy the tree, just don't expect bumper crops!
Keep an eye on the health of your trees and offer them the necessary fertilizers and amendments needed to supplement the re-leafing if it occurs.
You'll probably be alright.
