What kind of knife would you need to survive in the woods, summer and/or winter for 5 days and you really don't anything else except apprpriate clothing?

Jerry

Jerry, I believe a good little knife is a just good little knife.. As far as a survival knife, I'd vote for a Puma White Hunter..

You mean this knife

I like it, this has enough metal to be formidable in most situation.

That's the very one, Jerry. You can gut, skin, chop bones with the back, if you have to, cut firewood, and use the flat part on the back of the blade to cold-cock something or someone.. Plus, the handle is just the right diameter to be comfortable in use..

I have a 12" bowie knife that I think would work very well.

I was thinkin of the one from the movie Hot Shots lol that you pull a string and it becomes a chainsaw lol. In all honost if you need to survive 5 days it wouldnt take much. You can go three days without water i believe and more than 5 days without food from what i was taught anyways. A good pocket knife would suffice for cutting grubs in half or pokin holes in em when you wrapped them in tin foil and threw them in your oven :)

I have a K-Bar survival knife. Forget anything with a less than 6" blade and any folder
