I carry an old 4 bladed Boker canoe. It does everything from cutting hoses, cleaning out dirt from arund grease fittings to gutting and skinning deer. Its hard to beat good German Solingen steel for a blade.
What is your favorite pocket knife????

I carry the S&W Tactial knife for everyday carry. The knife has the open hand opening and holds a edge very well and is very strong for its light weight.

| I usually have a Gerber Magnum LST in my pocket. Small, lightweight and ready to cut what's needed.

| My favorite will always be my OL TIMER stock knife. I have had it for 10-15yrs and the blade has never failed me from anywhere from calf casterations to cutting steak and TEXAS ROADHOUSE. My next choice is my CRKT M16-13SF folder. Thats the one I carry on my duty belt with me all the time. CRKT makes damn good blades and they are dependable.

I always liked the gerber bolt action series. I have several of those, bought one when they first came out, carried it over 20 years now, every day.
I like the fact that it locks on a flat, not on a hook, so it can't get jammed up on pocket lint, clog the hook material and close up when you would rather it didn't.
Never had that problem with the bolt action knife, it's designed very well. It's 1/4" shorter than max. legal length here in MI, it carries light, it's as tight as the day it was new, and I haven't exactly been kind to it.
I guess the original design was from the cranium of one Blackie Collins, so it can't be all bad, huh?
They're long discontinued now, but when I go to the local gun and knife show, I occasionally see a used one for sale, and pay homage to a great knife.
You can still find them on E-bay.

I've got a Chicago cutlery belt knife. It has cut alot of things some of which I would prefer to forget. It holds an edge like the old chicago knives used to way back when and it is without a doubt one of the best belt folders I've got.
Take care Be safe Poacher.

The best pocket knife I ever carried was a prerelease Case the NRA gave me many years ago. It only had a 3 in. blade, but the surgical steel blade got sharp enough to shave with, and half slice the side of my thumb of with. Nothing a piece of tape wouldn't fix. Lost the knife last year on a ice fishing trip. My dad thought he saw it in a jig box, but I haven't remembered to look when ever I'm there.

| I've got a gimme knife from Hilti that's actually pretty good. German made, like a lot of Hilti's tools. Half serated, half smoothedge. Holds an edge well for stainless.

I am carrying a single blade Gerber folding lockback now for work.It is the one with the black blade and handle that looks like stainless steel. Its been a good knife so far and Ive put it through hell.Like ABNC,mine does everything from slicing summer sausage and jalapeno queso to skinning hogs...It holds a edge very well and takes an edge ok.Not as good as my Boker but for 40 dollars it is a damned good knife.I can`t complain..

| well it depends on what britches I have on. At any given time I have 5 carry knives laying on my dresser. When hunting season rolls around I throw another 2-3 up there. I would have to say that my favorite is a Kershaw Vapor that I paid $40 for when they first came out and now they sell them at Walmart for $20.

| I carry different knives, usually depending on what I'm wearing, or where I'm heading. My most often recent carry knives are a Benchmade Griptillian, or a Spyderco Endura for jeans or maybe a Gerber Air Ranger or Kershaw Speed-Safe for better pants. | I'll be the first to come clean an admit I'm not a high priced knife purchaser, except for a few I don't carry. Main reason is I'll either lose them, or manage to damage the blade somehow thru carelessness of use. I work in a machine shop and bar stock most always comes wrapped in shrink wrap with the P.O. taped underneath like it had to survive 6 months at the bottom of a lake! Running a fine blade along a piece of steel bar stock isn't exactly the best thing for a $100.00+ knife! So I usually stick with a cheaper everyday carry knife and just toss it when it's day is done. That is if I don't leave it somewhere and lose it first. Bill T.

I have always liked the folding lockback knifes and Gerber was my favorite but I seem to have the problem of the screws getting loose and falling out. I usually throw them away around 6 months because half the screws are gone and its just not feasable to try and use one then. My best to date is a Jaguar I bought off of ebay, it has lasted 3 years and is just now getting dull but the main thing is its still has all its screws and they are tight!! If I ever buy another quality knife I will definately take the screws out and put lock tight on em and it may just last more than 6 months.

I would have to say the Case Muskrat because I caried 1 for 41 years the blades are pretty much gone but I can still use it to clean fish.
Story:
When I was 5 years old my grandfather who was a carpet installer (60yrs) gave me a Case Muskrat when I started to learn the family business, He and my dad had been in the business about 20 years collectively by then from that day on I have caried that knife I was goning to buy another one but they changed to a SS blade and they are not as sharp as the Carbon Steel blades.

I carry a Kershaw Blue Mountain that they don't even make any more and I have a Belt Buckle that matches the Knife and all together it's worth 250 dollars or more.
