Any project knives in the works?I am trying to finish one but time seems to be given to work, family, and such with little time for piddling with my knife making.

Still waiting on the daughter's late fall spike she took to cure. The actual knives that I ordered for them to go onto have been here for some time now, but I want the antler's to cure awhile longer. (Rushed into making the first set she took, and they turned out poorly).
Are you using bone as handles?
Scott (wish I was good at something) B

I actually have an old knife I want to put an antler handle on. Waiting for a better antler, but not too good. Maybe one good side and one deformed.

working on a couple knives I'm making out of industrial hacksaw blades. Leaving the saw teeth on top of the blade to be used to scale fish.
They're at the shop....and haven't had much time lately to piddle with them.

Not a "cool" project at all. I've got to regrind a point on my Gerber Multi-tool. Broke the damned tip off today probing around a client's window with it. Crap!

TG, I am working on a carbon steel skinner for my Dad. I have now made several knives and am enjoying knifemaking but wish there was more time. I made an interesting kitchen knife for my Mom out of an old meat cleaver. I used Nilgai bone for the bolsters, Bocote wood for handles, nickel sheet for spacers, and my own mosaic pins the hold the thing together.
Happy Knifemaking!
