My spotting scope is the B&L Elite 15x45 x 60 mm with the rubber armor. The scope is very clear all the way out to the edge of the viewing picture with the power up to the max of 45X. The scope is compact and very easy to pack in the soft case that was supplied with scope. I don't carry the scope on my public land Elk hunts because any legal bull is in trouble if he gives me a shot. What kind of SS's do you guys use??:confused:

A spotting scope is the one piece of gear missing from my shooting equipment.

I doubt I'll get a Swarovski, but the B&L or a Leupold would certainly come in handy.  One of these days....

Fella's;

The wind got under my bench rug & flipped it off the bench.  My spotter was also on it when it went.  So, I'm in the market for a new spotter.

Several years ago, I had the opportunity to check out a Swarovsky at a show in Casper Wyoming.  The show was at the big civic arena on the north edge of town across the North Platte River.  I could see individual elk crossing a park up on Casper mountain.  That'd be something around 9 miles away!

Now if Jane would just mention me in her will & have the courtesy to die sometime real soon now, I could afford one.

Bushnell Elite 20-60x80mm.  Bought it just before last years hunting season.  Couldn't go another year without one.  It's a big scope.  Not necessarily what I'd consider a appropriate for packing long distances, but it fits the bill for most of my hunting situations.  >>  klallen

I have 2 I currently use. One is a Bushnell 9-30X Zoom, and the other is a Simmons 20-60X which is much more suited for long range work. Going up to 60X really makes a difference in spotting .22 cal. bullet holes at 200+ yards.  Bill T.
