Sorry tried to put this in optics but kept saying I wasn't logged in! Timber feel free to move it there!

My question, you guy use weaver scopes? how are they? I'm thinking of putting one on a .204 your input would be appreciated!

Don't know about the new ones, but I have had two Weaver V-7's on for about 40 years. One had to be rebuilt . Other than that. They stay zeroed with a lot of abuse in the scabbard

Hi medic,

I've got a 4.5-14X Weaver Grand Slam.  It's sitting atop my Win 70 7mm WSM at the moment and I've taken two deer with it last year.

How would I describe it?  A hunter's scope without question.

It's got the best ergonomics of any scope out there (sorry Leupold).  There's lots of matte rubber adjustments that a heavily gloved hand can adjust with ease.  Elevation and windage adjustments are also very ergonomic with the dials having a raised portion for easy adjustment.  Glass is pretty dang good too and I'd put it up against a Burris Fullfield, or Bushnell Elite series anytime.

Only drawback I see on mine is the eye relief.  Leupold has it beat by a long shot.  Not a problem with the calibers I've used but it's still
