Kind of got my pride hurt the other day. Been collecting a few ar platform tifles this year and decised it was time to mount some optics. So I installed a set of ARMS 22 QD rings on  my bushy with out the raised spacers on the pic rail. Put a Burris black diamond 6-24 x 50 on it , leveld it and torqued it down. then tried to boresite to no avail.

Thought huh , switched scopes to a Bushnell elite 6-24 x 50 tactical and same thing.Cant get the crosshairs aligned with boresiter , closest is about 4-5 inches high and bottoms out. questions is to shim or to look for aMOA base? Also installed a Bushnell 4-16 x 50 4200 on my RRA and had no problems with high burris extreme rings. Dialed right in with plenty of adjustments left. The RRA with Bushnell has the bell within 3/16 of an inch above handguard , on the Bushy the bell is about 3/4 inch high. Some thoughts?

PS I am new here , first post but been reading and its great informative forum!

Can post pics to explain better if needed also. thanks in advance, Jim

have you tried to boresight by just looking down the barrel and adjusting the scope? it seems odd that you're all out of adjustment...

No , but I tried my standard boresiter and a laser one just to recheck things. first thought was scope is why i switched em. Gonna just bring it close and take it shooting then see whats what I guess. Will take a pop can along if needed. LOL
