This evening I got my cheapy Vivitar Binocs out to check to see if the neighbors goat is still in his pen, yes he was. Then I looked around for my better set and realized that my good set of binoculars is a 1946 Nash built set that left the Army with me.

Any one have any suggestions of decent but not outrageously priced binoculars?

I've got a pair of bushnell 10 X 42's   the excursion model

paid a little over 2bills for them at cabellas ,water fog shock proof ect.

there light  enough to carry all day hunting elk, with out killing me:thumbs:

 , the glass is very good . At first and last light you still see everything.

they are not on par with swarovskis's but then there not $2,000 either :wink:

brunton, bushnell legends, and pentax make fair lower priced binocs.

swift is pretty good glass, but i have serious doubts about their ruggedness in a hunting application.

Which Pentax Binocs did you buy? Mine work great for me. But I only have to deal 150 yards for my total distance.
