Nope, But I've loaded 6TCU in a Contender. I'd say it kills prairie dogs DRT except that it usually kills them at an elevation of about 2 Feet. It's a real varmint hammer. RD

I'd rather have the 6X45. TCU case forming can be a pia. I'm impressed by the performance. I used Hornady 65 Gr. V max and killed PD at 300+ with a Contender carbine. Right now I've loaded some 80 Gr SSP bullets that I'm going to try for deer in a doe season. Reasoning being that the TCU won't drive the SSPs much faster than a .243 encore pistol would. We'll see how that works out.

I just recently got an AR upper in 6X45 and it shoots great. I am hoping to use it on some varmints in the next couple of months.

The 6X45 is not the round to shoot the larger bullets. The 105's need a 9 or 8 twist and be pushed closer to 2900 to 3000 FPS to go out longer ranges. It does well with the 65gr and 70gr for me and if I want to shoot heaver bullets then I use my 243 WSSM AR with the 95's. The 6X45 is a 300 yard round and if you want to go longer then I just move up to the 243 Win, the 243 WSSM, or the 6mm Rem.
Just my .02

MB is correct the 6x45 is a 300 yard rifle, but very accurately, as it used to be used as a bench rifle caliber for several years. I have owned several, and have taken deer, boar, 'yotes, jacks, etc. with no problem. Join http://www.loaddata.com as they have a lot of reload data for it. It is very easy to load..... just lube up a .223/5.56 case and run it through your 6x45 die sizer. Case length trip to 1.75 and load a 70 - to 85gr bullet of choice. OAL is 2.260. I didn't have much luck with bullets heavier than 85grs myself. Years back I bought a shit load of 85gr "factory seconds" from Midway dirt cheap, so that's my bullet of choice. Out of several thousand to date I have found 3 or 4 bad bullets!!! Last edited on Fri Dec 18th, 2009 09:54 PM by gunnerskmc

There used to be a gun smith that did 6x45 conversions that advertised in Shot Gun News. If memory serves me right he was located in Warner Robbins, Georgia. He also did accuracy work on the Mini-14.
I have had several AR-15s in 6x45, plus a Robinson M96, and a Remington Model 600. All performed great. You can purchase a 6x45 complete upper from High Standard. That may be your best bet. Good Luck it is an enjoyable caliber that moves you out of the "mouse" caliber.
