I have tested just about all of the available 20 cal bullets out there.
I use RL-10x and H-4895 for all of them.
I use benchmark for the 35 and 40 gr bergers
I only use H-322 for the lighter stuff like the 32 gr V-max
Tried the 32 gr sierras and unless I keep the loads way down, they keyhole so badly that it looks more like a shotgun pattern.
The 32 gr hornady V-max was nice and accurate in both of my savages. The 40 gr v-max was only accurate in my new 204, a savage 12 BTVSS. The 40 vmax in my older savage 12 VLP patterns at around an inch at a 100 yds.
Both 32 and 40 gr noslers and 35 and 40 gr bergers were accurate in both guns.
The new hornady 45 gr sp's were also accurate in both. I still have more test loads to do on these.
By far the most accurate out of all of them is the 39 gr sierra blitz king. With its nice high B.C. it is the king and is the most efficient for the 204. I find it to be to frangible to use on the bigger critters. If you hit bone, chances are they will splash.
For fur I use the 35 and 40 gr bergers , and for the smaller critters like crows, ravens, magpies, and prairie poodles I use the 39 gr blitz king. I still havn't tried the hornady 45 gr sp's on yotes yet.
