| does anyone have any loads for a savage 10 fp .308 in 150 grain bullets for hunting? Just aquired this gun and would like to try 150 grain for the speed but I have not ruled out 165 grainers, for down range. looking for maximum speed, and accuracy. any help would be appreciated.

strongly suggest you go w/ 165's and get the ballistic and energy advantages while giving up a minimal amount of velocity.
rl-15 and varget do very well in the 308.

| Thanks. I think I'll start with varget and hornady 165 sst. what primer would you suggest?

| If you're hunting in Louisiana, you're not likely to run into anything that 150s won't handle. Varget or BL-C(2) work well in the .308. Check Hodgdon's website for data.

| the land of little deer is where I live Ive used 150s in everything I shoot, 30-30 win., 300 wsm. and I haven't had one yet let me shoot him and then ask "Is that it!" thanks for the info Just printed out the recipe book from hodgdon.
