leaving this afternoon on a spike elk hunt going to the little natches unit here in washington,
did'nt get drawn for a cow or bull tag,
oh well elks is elks

happy huntin amigo and safe trips ! granted while spikes do grow up into bigger bulls( if they arent eaten by something/body) they are indeed prime ( and tender ) meat!g'luck !

Well I made it back ,aside from being elk-less it was a great "camping trip" !
saw lots of cows and a bunch of yotes but the spikes all managed to elude me
man are my legs sore ,I think I need to take up hunting from a horse again.
