I've been baiting since August 1........seems to be great bear numbers. Lots of activity around the baits.

Our season here in Nova Scotia opens Sept 12.

Good luck to all this fall.

Hey Gene , It appears you are having another good year for the bears . Lots of berries  and stuff for them to eat ! Their fattening up in the high country !  It looks like a above average year for big bucks  and other game . Their game every were right now .  Season opens the first of September of Bow , and the 10th for rifle . for both deer and bear .  We have had frost already several time , the aspens up high are already turning yellow , and the bucks are rubbing now ! Regards Bullet !

Hey Timberghozt,

had to come see if you were still around bro? We've been running baits full time and looks like a big harvest coming up for us again this year! We had to put another barrel in a site which already has 2 ,but to keep the peace we had to dump another one in.We watched 7 bears waiting turns for a snack. There has been new comers every week and if it keeps this up might have to 4 barrels in there.I can't wait until next year when you'll be hanging your hat on a limb in this very site! So ya better get ready for a thriller.

The temps have been just right this year not like the last 2 yrs been too hot.We put off our hunts this year by 2 weeks, figuring this Fall might be too hot. When these boys come next week they'll have some awsome bears to deal with hehehe.

we are in an area which has a large bear count,We have been baiting everyday to keep up with demand at the sites. We watched a big male come in one site and he was 10 min. sniffing the air before he made his move.Came to the barrel and one swipe the big logs we had on there went flying like match sticks,he pushed the barrel over and when he couldn't get enough out to suit himself,he picked that barrel up and threw it like it was a bag of wool! Can't wait until the boys put their eyes on these critters.
