:thumbs:I thought you all would like to see what we have been up to . In October we had the chance to bring yet another dream come true .  The gentleman  is 72 yrs young , he had been looking for a big horn sheep since he was 10 - when he saw his first one . He had taken 10 trips over the years with other fella's but they were all unsuccessful for one reason or another .  He sellected from his collection a 6.5/06 that he had built just for this purpose .  It was a good looking rifle .  Any way , One our first morning out , we traveled high to glass down  and low and behold at the treeline their was sheep activity . After glassing for a hour or so at roughly a 1/2 mile we watched as a nice ram walked out of the timber . He looked good at this distance , big body mass as well as horn mass . We figured it was worth a closer look , 2.5 hrs later found us still 375 yds . from the ram  but we were able to determine him a very large and mature 3/4 curl ram . The hunter was ready , to shot from here - But we told him we could get him closer - another hour found use @246 yds and no way to get an closer  without being in plain sight of the sheep . We agreed we would had to make a stand from here .  As we watched the sheep , and catching our breath - that ram laid down facing up hill to watch his backtrail . From our location he gave us a perfect spine shot .  We watched him for a bit and the hunter descide he should do this neither of use we getting any younger - He ment him or the ram !  It was about now when a CRACK ring out  and the ram didn't move .  For a split second - I thought he had missed ! But then it never did move .  It turned out to be a perfect shot , the bullet found its mark , striking the spine between the shoulders and his quest was over .  Boy - their was a war whoop ring across the mountain side at that point . We made our way down to the ram . On closer inspection we found him to be 3" past 3/4 curl .  Beautiful Ram .   The shooter was a little missy eyed when he gave the ram a little kiss on the nose and told him he had been looking for him for a long time .

It took best part of 4 hrs to skin , cape , and quarter and pack him down to the road . Boy - was it ever a great day .    I hope you all enjoy this as much I did.   My knee started to hurt just writting the story . It was tender the next day !  Regards Bullet
