Gonna be leaving early Friday again fellas headed to the hill country.After a trophy hog solely.This time my 45-70 with  a 300 grain Hornady JHP is the lead gun.I intend to draw blood with the ole girl if it works out.I will be carrying my 300 Win Mag as a second gun in the event of a mechanical failure with the 45-70 but it appears the 45-70 will get its first dibs on drawing blood.
I`m excited about using it and Im ready to go now...:thumbs::thumbs:
Pics next week(I hope):wink::lol:

Thanks fellas..I got the 45-70 shooting a pretty sweet group with a little whoopass behind the bullet when it hits.I am excited as heck to use it.Something about hunting with a rifle that hasn`t drawn blood that just gets ya stirred up.She`s shooting good and time for her to earn the money with a trophy mount for me.I have every confidence this ole warhorse will knock even the biggest hog`s ass for a loop..Or maybe its just hunting with anything I guess that gets ya excited..:confused:..:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Looking forward to the post-hunt story'n pics.  I figure all I need is to hear a couple more of these "hog tales" and it'll push me over the hump in getting my own hunt finalized.  Best of luck to ya.  >>  klallen

Good luck Timber.  I'm betting that your 45-70 will be putting the whoopass on a hog for sure.    :thumbs:
