How many of you find yourself thinking about the fall hunting season before Sumner gets a good foothold?

I do, every year since I started hunting.  About the first nice day of summer I start thinking about September.  In my part of Minnesota there is no spring turkey hunting.  Bear hunting starts September 1, I'm not sure I'll be going bear hunting this year.  It depends on the Bears.  Archery season for Whitetail begins about the middle of September.  Firearm season for Whitetail begins the beginning of November.  Then black powder season for Whitetail begins the first part of December.  I've strictly bow hunted for the last six or seven years.  I'm thinking about going with the all season tag this year.  Which means I can hunt with all three weapons.  With this license in the part of this state that I'm in, I get one buck and two does.

Bill,
I aint entirely sure I ever quit thinking about it.  But after the trip to the camp last weekend to put up a ladder and feeder, clear some lanes and scouting around....it's definately gotten worse.

I guess I never stop thinking about it, I just start getting impatient and can't wait for hunting to start.

To be truthful, I FEEL THE NEED TO MAKE SOMETHING BLEED year round.

I hunt ot live and live to hunt ,I work with  wildlife most everyday and love it .

thinking of hunting is a normal act.

I deer hunt everyday of the year. If not in the field, I kick back in my recliner and hunt through the memories of past hunts. But all in all , theres nothing like ''Opening Day''.
