Trade you some reloading tips for some bear hunting tips:wink::thumbs:

Actually I spend a lot of time reading on your bear hunting board.I came to find out last year that bear hunting and deer hunting are two totally different things.

That's a great bear BEA!

Oh one of these days I'll have one too!

Been in bear country several times after whitetail with a bear tag included in case one should happen to stumble into my range but no in-field sightings as of yet.

Here's a pic of my first black bear with traditional equpment. I used a Martin Hatfield T/D recurve, cedar arrows w/feather fletch, and had sharpened zwickey broadheads.

Nice bears guys.   I've only seen two bears and they were over 100 yards away.   But I sure see a lot of scat when I'm in the woods.    Makes me keep my eyes open.   :sofa:

I have taken 11 bears in Nova Scotia. 1 bear in Newfoundland and 1 bear in New Brunswick.

Not that it matters but all have been with archery gear.
Two have been with traditional bows/wooden arrows and the rest have been with compound/aluminum arrows. All of the compound bears were taken with xx75's tipped with Thunderhead 125s.

Thanks, our deer herd has taken a beating over the last few years due mainly to really bad winters - but our bears are thriving
