Took a couple of days off last week, and ran up to my place in Real County. Got there Thursday about 2 PM, hunted Thursday evening. Saw the first hog sign I have ever seen on the place, couple of areas were rooted up pretty good. I've been expecting them to arrive for the last 20 years, finaly found me.
Saw four does, and a middling buck, right at the end of legal shoting time (and light!).
Went out Friday morning, watched a doe and yearling browse for about 30 minutes. Finally decided to take the doe. Hit her at about 80 yards, and the yearling just stood there. Decided, "to hell with him, I can use some tender vittles", and popped him, too. He was apparently too stupid to survive, so i'm not woried about his genetics! Both of them in the freezer now.
I hunted with a Marlin in .375 Winchester. First critters I have taken with it. 80 yards is a slam dunk, but it does seem impresive Loaded Hornady's 220 grain FN over Rx-7.
Heading Fridaynight down to Crystal City, hoping to find that 170 class buck. I'm gonna carry my 98 Mauser in .338/06 and see what it will do.

Good deal there Charley!
I did something very much the same recently, but until the pics get developed I'll hold off with the story.
I'm still on the lookout for a few does myself to make into jerky meat. I've got some time and a firearm season for a few days after Christmas so I should have at least a few more chances.
Congratulations!
The 375 Win. is an interesting piece too! Not too many folks have them or carry them but as you've shown they obviously work just fine! I've been toying around with a 358 Win. in a Browning BLR for some time but haven't committed the cash to it just yet nor will I until I get some more of these blasted projects finished!

Congrats on the doe and yearling. Good luck with getting your buck.
