Got this one last season.  Was an exciting hunt.  Mostly so because of being forced to watch him for more then two hours as he fed just on the other side of a fence, separating us from posted "No Hunting" land.

He measured 154 1/8" gross (green).  Even with weak front forks, he ended up scoring better then I figured him to be on the hoof.

My Winchester Laredo 7mm RUM was used on a shot Leica 1200 measured at 327 yds.  He was quartering away at a pretty sharp angle.  The 160 gr. Nosler AccuBond entered at the last rib of the on-side, traveled up through lung and just barely clipped the off-side shoulder as it zipped out.  These AccuBond's haven't been on the market for that many years, but I'm steadily becoming a fan.  I'll probably have them running in everything intended for deer, if they offer the weights I like in the caliber classes I have.  >>  klallen

Fantastic buck klallen..:thumbs:Good shot to boot at over 300 yards. It sounds like your 7mmRUM is pretty handy with them 160 gr bullets.

Hey guys.  Thanks.  It was a fun hunt, that's for sure.

Sorry for the duplication of pics.  I'm tinkering with that ImageShack software.  Trying to learn my way around getting pics posted this way.

Good shooting and one hell of a nice buck I think.      I hope a 2005 buck doesn't make you sweat it out like this one did.   That's some good memories to have on this one.

Thanks GUNRUNNER.  Can't wait to see what this big game season has in store either.  Since 2001 (the year I got the Mulie that's my avatar), it's been one amazing venture after another.  Lots of luck involved, but while hunting, I'll take a healthy dose of luck any day of the week (and sunday too)   .

BEA, you gotta get yourself on a quality Mulie hunt.  You won't regret it.  I'll take a large Whitetail if the opportunity presents itself, but priorities for me are always centered around the largest Mulie I can find.  Don't always work out like I'd want, but when it does, mercy, you have yourself one beauty of a trophy (and lots of meat, to boot).

Later fellas.  >>  klallen
