Well guys, This will be my first ever out of state hunt. I am going to Wyoming around the Greybull area. Any suggestions, thoughts, recomendations, or advice will be welcomed and appreciated. I know a lot of you have been there and done that. My tag is good from Oct. 15 to the 31'st. Thanks in advance for the help and suggestions.

Mule deer. I hope to be patient and get a nice rack deer. Where I live we have quantity but very little quality. A small mule deer there will probably be a ginormous monster here.

FRM -
congratulations on the hunt! i know it will be a great time for you.
i've been to the greybull area a couple of times. if you get the chance, take a day for general site-seeing in the area as it is absolutely beautiful. whether you have a regular camera or a digital camera, be prepared to take twice as many pictures as you think you will take. be prepared to fall in love with the place!
the only other advice i can give is the advice you already gave yourself: be patient! it is my experience that in areas with light to even moderate hunting pressure, a patient hunter will win the day. if a buck is not up to your standards, don't take the shot or you will be dissatisfied with the experience and with the head on the wall. also, when you do spot the deer you are looking for, be patient again! if the shot isn't perfect, and if the critter is not spooked, there is a 90% chance (i made that number up, but you know what i mean) that he will present you with exactly the shot you are looking for.
they aren't armor-plated. any "regular" deer rifle will work well, so use the rifle that YOU have the most confidence in. just as that rifle will work well, so will just about any appropriate, standard ammo. once again, use what you feel most condifence in and use what you know has worked well for you in the past. if you use a mag, then some sort of premium bullet might be adviseable, but i would suggest that now is not the time to try a bunch of new, unfamiliar rifles, cartridges, loads or bullets.
you might be able to glean a few bits of information from checking out these links below:
http://www.baitshopboyz.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=140&PN=1
http://www.baitshopboyz.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=13105&PN=1
they were written for north-central montana, but many of the information in them applies across the board for hunting mulies.
finally, since this sounds like it will be a memorable hunt, be sure to start a hunting diary here and/or at BSB! we'd love to hear about your preparations, the equipment you will be using, your thoughts about the hunt and accounts of the hunt!
that should cover a few general things. if you have any specific questions, please ask and we'll see if we can get the answers for you!
p.s. - edited to add a little bit of extra info, and also hopefully for typos.

Thanks for the help. I will be leaving next week on the 9th. My tags are good on the 15th so I should have some extra time to look around and take in some sites. I am really looking forward to the trip.

Here are a few pics. Most of the ones I took turned out blurry. Here are some of the better ones.
