This is my first pronghorn with a handloaded 30-06.
The bullet is a Sierra 125gr ProHunter @ 3050fps,
from a Winchester case full of H4895.
This combination provided me with a one shot kill
at almost 250 yards. He was quartering away when
I squeezed the trigger. I heard the hit. When I picked
him up in the scope he was standing broadside
looking at me. I thought I missed! Then he fell over
dead. Excitement! Joy! Sadness....
Boy am I a long way from the truck!!!!!
