I will be leaving Wed. morning for Elk in Colorado. I have decided to use my 25 STW for this hunt. This is the first rifle I have built, doing all the work myself including cambering ,barreling and bedding. The rifle is grouping the 100 Barnes TX into 1/2 inch with 81 gr Rel 25 . Chrono results for this load is 3850 and showing no pressure . I will go for the 4000 fps mark with this load when i return, just don't have the time now with the hunt being so close. If i kill a Elk it will be more satisfying knowing i did all the work and loading . Just a personal thing. If i kill a Elk i will be happy and if i don't kill one i will be happy. Just want to see the Rocky again. I will be hunting on Public Land so i put the odds at 50-50 on filling my tag.

Thanks, I will post photos if i fill my tag. They are giving out snow for the area i will be hunting. Snow sure does make getting them out much easier.
