Seven of us took six bulls and one cow . I took my bull at 492 yards with my 25 STW and the Barnes 100 gr TS. This was the quickest kill i have made on a Elk , he just collapsed at the shot . Bullet placement was where the neck joined the body with complete penetration. The bull was a nice 6x6 . He was at 11600 ft. Here is photos of the bull where he fell . Time about 0715 MT.

My buddy Browning A-Bolt in 300 Mag and my son Wby Accu-Mark in 7mm STW weighted more than my rifle. My hunting buddy killed the bigger bull 6x6 with his 300 WM and my son bottom photo killed the 6x5 with his 7mm STW.

| Thanks , it was a very hard hunt and maybe my last. Just getting to old for Elk Hunting. My mind has the want to and go but my body just doesn't have it any more. I guess it is the price you pay for living to long.

Wow! A camo-elk! Very rare.
Is that a 28" bb; on that .25 or just a 26?
Nice going. Enjoy the meat!
