All I want is a big Cape Buff,a big male male lion and a monster warthog with big cutters.I know that might be a tad bit strange but when I make the trip to Africa that is what I want .... I want my warthog mounted for my gunroom. The buff head for my living room and the lion, well anyplace I can find room for him...

"...what would be your most sought after trophy ?"
As posed, a difficult question to answer. In fact, I don't think I could single out one animal, I'd probably have a laundry list like Texasdoc?
Sable? Yeah, I'd want one, if possible. Don't have an interest in the big five, don't have the pocketbook, either. On the other hand, I might like a leopard, if I could export it? And a big caracal, a relatively unknown but beautiful animal. Stuff with horns, mainly. But, I would consider Zebra. (trivia: over there, they pronounce that word; zeb-ra, like Debra, while Americans usually say, zee-bra)
There are many to choose from, that's for sure. I have been there once, so I would be more choosy next time. I wanted a baboon, but didn't have any luck, so I'd still like to do that.
Good hunting. LB

Be prepared. The trip is absolutely formidable, especially in the cheap seats. I'm talking 25-29 grueling hours, from boarding to arrival. I got there, exhausted; and they had me shooting birds while on the way to a bed.
Good hunting. LB

The trip do kick yur butt a bit .. My only interest is buff and lion , until the trophy fees come down a tad a pair of 100 pound tusks is merely a dream .. I doubt there are even any 100 pounders , maybe a few ...

Wow Phil now thats a hard question. I would say a leopard, or lion. They are beautiful creatures with power, agility and just look majestic as hell. That being said I know cape buff is a worthy trophy but personally I think they just look pure D ugly.
Either way for now it's a dream. Achievable but a dream.
Take care Be safe Poacher.

Warthog, sand grouse, francolin and cape pigeon, as you can tell, I love upland game and porkers.

Something like the viscous African chipmunk, the dreaded long eared jack rabbit, or the voracious Nile tit mouse.

Schleprok,
If you have a look on my web page under 'photos' you will be able to view many of the animals in Tanzania.
