I live in Australia, I make 3-4 trips a year to our Northern Territory for Asian Water Buffalo hunting. I would love to go to Africa to hunt their smaller cousins.
I hear that Cape buffalo may be smaller than our Water buff, but they're more aggressive and an injured Cape buff will do anything to get to the source of it's pain: YOU!
We have trouble getting them to charge over here, it's only at one time of year that they will predictably charge, mating season, which for us is not good, because it occurs right in the middle of the 'Big Wet' where access is near impossible.
Don't get me wrong, they are just as dangerous as Cape buff, but don't seem to be as predictable as Cape buff. We've had them charge our 4wd's without a shot being fired, and us, and when shots have been fired, we've had them act like cows in a paddock.
Cheers.
