So Phil, in your opinion, would a .416 Taylor be sufficient for a buff?
You seemed to think it was the equal to the .416 Rem Mag, but it fits a standard length action.
I realize that it's not a stopping cartridge, but if the hunter did his job and put the bullet where it needed to be?

Bwana Longhunter,
I have no problems with the 416 Taylor for Buffalo.
I have not had any clients bring one on safari yet, but it should do as good of a job on Buff as the 416 Remington. And the Remmie works very well.
