| I hope the pic comes out. This is the 1st coyote of the fall season for me. I was using a 160 gr Nosler fail safe in 7mm mag. I was hunting pigs when I starting blowing on a call. I used a hand call and it wouldn't come any closer than 270 yds (confirmed with a laser range finder). It was facing me and I shot it in the chest and the bullet came out the spine just behind the tail. Last edited on 25 November 2006 10:22 PM by donger

Congrats Donger. Coyote hunting is something I've been wanting to do for the last several years. I just haven't done it. One of these years I'll do it.

WildBill, coyote hunting started out as something to do when I wasn't finding deer or wild pigs. I blindly blew a call for years without seeing a coyote. I finally bought a couple of coyote hunting videos and blew the calls to imitate the guys in the videos. It paid off and I called in 2 coyotes the 1st time after watching the videos.

| Bea175, There's never enough gun for any kind of hunting :) Actually, I was pig hunting and I wasn't finding any pigs. I wasn't finding any fresh rootings or anything else so I started blowing on the call. Last year, I called in a coyote from a ravine. I shot and missed it. 5 minutes later, a boar came out of the same ravine...I killed him.
