I hope the pic comes out.  This is the 1st coyote of the fall season for me.  I was using a 160 gr Nosler fail safe in 7mm mag.  I was hunting pigs when I starting blowing on a call.   I used a hand call and it wouldn't come any closer than 270 yds (confirmed with a laser range finder).  It was facing me and I shot it in the chest and the bullet came out the spine just behind the tail.

Congrats Donger.  Coyote hunting is something I've been wanting to do for the last several years.  I just haven't done it.  One of these years I'll do it.

Bill

WildBill,  coyote hunting started out as something to do when I wasn't finding deer or wild pigs.  I blindly blew a call for years without seeing a coyote.  I finally bought a couple of coyote hunting videos and blew the calls to imitate the guys in the videos.  It paid off and I called in 2 coyotes the 1st time after watching the videos.

Bea175,  There's never enough gun for any kind of hunting :)  Actually, I was pig hunting and I wasn't finding any pigs.  I wasn't finding any fresh rootings or anything else so I started blowing on the call.  Last year, I called in a coyote from a ravine.  I shot and missed it.  5 minutes later, a boar came out of the same ravine...I killed him.
