Hey Bill,

I'll detail more about my hunt later but I'm really really new to this predator hunting thing.  Coyote is what I'm after.

As far as I know, most guys prefer the mouth calls.  It allows them to create a wider variety of sounds than the electronic calls.  At this point, I haven't mastered any mouth calls for coyote though I keep trying.  I also have an electronic call and have gotten responses from the coyotes with it here recently.  Only problem is that the only thing I can control is volume and the type of call (coyote howl, rabbit in distress, etc.)

There's a heck of a good website about coyote calling and it even has a few calls that you can listen to over the computer.  Surf around on this site and you might pick a few things up.

Here's the site:

Bill, till you get really into it,use electronic.
I had a electric call I never used.Sat on my loading room shelf for two years I beleive till I found it a home with a good friend of mine that would put it to good use.
I prefer mouth calls as it is more of an art I think. But as Mountaineer stated, they take practice.I have been calling 15 plus years and seldom have I ever used electric calls.I have calling with some of my predator hunting buds and have scored yotes from them.Electric calls do work.If you really like predator calling, learn the basics, then take up a mouth call if you are gonna stay at it..

I have a boat load of calls and callers I personally like a Mouth blown call as it gives me more control and its more rewarding to have call it in yourself.
