Great bird!

I'm not a turkey hunter, by any means....in fact I do my turkey hunting at Kroger during the spring season.....  Now the fall season is a different story!  We can take either sex for the five month duration of archery allowed for deer.  I do not call them actively, but I have taken seven in the last eight years with a bow(this year being the first of probably many to come without birds in the woods).

Looks like the area you are hunting has plenty of nice ones left...how many can you take during a season?

Two gobblers in the spring or two gobbler and a hen in the fall. Total of three birds. I personally like hunting them in the spring when they are gobbling . I love calling them and listening to them gobble on a warm spring morning.  Turkey hunting is contagious , when you get it, you have it for life .

Good going there bea!

I've got about another 1 1/2 weeks before season opens up just west of where you hunted!

Hopefully the weather will cooperate, can't wait!
