This coyote pup strolled into my back yard this morning. By the time I got the camera out, he was in my front yard. He saw me sneaking up and boogied. I lip squeeked and he stopped long enough for me to snap a picture. Then he put it in high gear, and I had to take the pics on the run, Sorry I didnt get closer.

not so cute when you see them dragging a 2year old child out of her own backyard,

this and similar incidents  have happend several times in the last 5 years in western washington

yotes are also responsible for most of the fawn and elk calf predation in the state

I know they have there place in the balance of things, but not in the numbers we have them right now

my policy is still shoot them on sight :m249saw:

Coyote pups are cute, at least to me, that doesnt mean I wont (and do) pop every adult coyote I can call up. Like i told my wife.........He'll be back in six months after your cats, and i'll blow him away. :shameon:

When I call Yotes, the neighbor Miniature Pincher always shows up. The problem with him is at a distance he could be mistaken for Yote pup or a year old Yote.

I already know what will happen to Brutus, he ran up barking at one of my barn cats, just running his little mouth. The cat turned around and smacked him in the face claws out, and Brutus ran away with his tail between his legs. The cat just kept on going.

Brutus, the wonder dog is now MIA, so either the cat took him out or he ran in to a coyote or he found a girl friend.

He has been gone for 2 or 3 days.

Brutus,

Showed up out of nowhere ealier, fed him, called his owners and they came and got him.

A good chain generally keeps dogs from wandering.

I say survival of the fittest...Coyotes kill and eat cats small dogs etc, cats kill and eat birds, mice chipmunks etc...Fetch me my rifle im going kitty hunting!

P.S. have a fat 20 pound kitty.

Reminds me of a girl at work who brought her toy dog to the cottage, The Owl that swooped down and plucked it from her side had a good meal that day!

My current dog, Rufus, is larger than most of the Yotes that I have round here, is a little more than 4 months old and is 40 pounds.

Plus I keep him chained with a 50 foot chain out back and when we walk the fields, he stays on a short leash.
