One of my farmer buddies called and said yotes had killed one of his sheep about two weeks back. I started calling at daylight but no response from howls , pup in distress or jack in distress. They must have been out of range of the caller because they usually return a howl even if they don't come in. I did rid his hay field of three groundhogs. AR 223 , 50 GR Speer TNT with Win 748 and CCI 450 Mag Primers. I was hunting in Scott County Virginia.

Hello bea175,

Good job and nice rifle as well.  I am a transplant in Spotsylvania County.  Originally from Heny County. Took up the challenge of going after goundhogs this year with a .223 Remington.  Is there anything that you do besides sit and wait for those whistlepigs?

great hunt! Nice gun too! I miss my days of hog hunting in Pa & Wv. Prairie dogs are fun here in Kansas but, not like hearing those big THUMPs on them fat hogs!
