I have been shooting much of my life, some match grade shooting, some for hunting.

My collection of rifles goes between extremely accurate match rifles and then my hunting rifles. Most of my pistol get used for both purposes.

Lets take the accuracy of a Rem 40X, if you shoot only 1 inch groups at 100 yards the rifle is way better than you are. It really is a minute of angle type of rifle, plus pricey.

Now the other end of the spectrum, my old Mossberg M 46 or my Spanish FR8, neither keeps ultra match grade groups. So instead of say minute of angle accuracy, how about minute of coyote or ground hog accuracy?

Just a thought,

Jerry

Yep sounds good.

And not to sound morbid but my old milsurp rifles (most anyway) are still able to shoot minute of man. Some shoot minute of deuce and a half.

Old Bike,

When I find an old millitary rifle that can not shoot a minute of man, it goes on the table at the gun shows.
