Hey whiteboy, you are gonna love that Savage man.I load both the Nosler 150 grain Ballistic Tips and Hornady 165 grain SST`s in mine and it will shoot.Pretty derned accurate for an off the shelf rifle.
I use VARGET exclusively in my rifle and its a sweet shooting rifle...

Sounds like it's gonna be a good party tonight Timber. I'd love to be there. Here's wishing the kid gets a yote or two. And you better bring home the bacon.

Hi Bea
How does the 220 Swift compare ballistically with the 22-250 AI ?
Reason im asking is that im thinking of building a varmint gun, and was thinking of something in the lines of a 22-250 or the AI of it.
All the best

The 22-250 Ack will out do the Swift on paper but can't tell a whole lot of difference in the field. The Ack will push a 55 gr bullet about the same speed the Swift will push a 50 gr. Both are outstanding long range varmint killers .

Hey guys this is getting serious, about 6 or 8 miles up the road a 17 yr old kid was attacked by a coyote, he was in his house when he heard a noise outside and went out to see what was going on. When he went out the yote was trying to get his cat so the kid tried to shoe it away and it turned on him. He faught with the thing and held it off until it ran away, they didn't find it and the kid has under gone rabie shots. I got to get myself in a stand. I am thinking the new .243 is going to be coming on line soon.

They just recently spotted 'yote and bobcat in my neck of the woods. I personally don't believe they're that close to home, there would be a lot less rabbits if they were in my neighborhood. I would just love to shoot a 'yote. I leave foxes alone. The little tiny foxes we got here look like house cats with big noses.
I'm jealous, TG, you got fresh pics of 'yote AND porkers. The last fur I turned inside out was just a family of raccoons. Prolly 2 months ago. And I got grief from the neighbors about it. I was doing 'em a favor, and they call me a nut. Man, I gotta get out more.

I went outside last night, to make sure my car was locked, about 9:00, and just down the road,,,,,,, a yote was hollarin.. And I live on the north side of San Antonio.
I havnt heard them yellerin in a long while.
I used to hunt them varmits with my ol 257 Roberts. Killed "several" from 5 yards, out to 400 yards, hit one, at 3/4 mile. (have witnesses on that one, even)
I sure would like to get my X-hairs on some Tx yotes
