Well, give me a week and I'll tell ya ;)

I'll be leaving Wednesday to go to South Carolina and get after some hogs.  Never been there before hunting hogs but I have been hog hunting before.  Each time I've went, I've hunted with dogs.  There won't be any of that on this trip so it is going to prove challenging.  From what I've been told, it is best to try and key in on some of the many creek bottoms and look for sign.  Set up in the highest probability location and be patient.  That's the game plan.  Wish me luck and if I get anything you'll know!

ive started to reload back in the early 70's with .38 spl's and 357's. then moved up to .44 mags and spl's.. i gast my own bullets. my main load it 9 gr. s of unique with a 250 gr lyman bullet. but for the .44 spl's i use a lee 208 gr wad cutter.

for shotshells i started back when i was 12 or 13. i had an old pacific press. and al 7 was 3.95 a can... got out of it cause you could buy shells cheaper, and now i know why. started back loading up shot shells. i have 3 presses. 2 12 ga. and a 20. i dont do it all the time , only when the boys run out. but we have enough on the shelf to last a couple of years...

As most of the BSB crowd know, I'm back from my hog hunt.

As it took some time to put the story all together, with pics included, I'll post up the link below for all those interested.

Long story short, we got one, saw several and had a blast in a state and area that neither of us had ever set foot upon before!

Nice hogs Bea.   Which if either do you find more exciting.  Using a handgun or the bow?   With either one you gotta be on your toes.

I prefer the bow but the handgun is exciting. I just wanted to take one with my 45 acp Springfield. If i do it again it will be my Mathews Outback.
