My part time kid who gets to high school during the day and was casting for me in the evenings, was taken to the hospital because of his case of H1N1. The only people allowed to see him is his mother and father, then it is with masks and other stuff.

He developed something like pneumonia and the squad took him over to the hospital.

When he is a little better I will send him a cookie bouquet.

I am still pretty bad, but I am pretty tough old bird. I eat even if it going to come back up, because there will be some food value left in the body. I take my meds on time, exercise a little, which that may be a good work out for some people.

Plus I don't have the distractions of living in a community and having to go to the office every day.

The local schools are having 30% absentee rates, some school have closed for a few days. A village in the country is a very closed community, so things spread quickly.

The two kids that work for me, I am worried about, but Becky has Lupus and the flu can be life threatening to her.

So I will get better, I am on the down side of this and will probably be back to my normal routine at the end of the week.

Thanks for asking,

Jerry

on a positive note .. i read that the hybrid swine flu's spread is in decline ( of course way to late for the ummm flu shot lolz )it's still serious but it's mostly infected 3/4+ of the population already ...this was worse for me than the one in the late 70's

Kent is coming home tomorrow, but Becky is still pretty sick and I no longer have a fever, so I must be getting better.

This is a nasty flu.

Kent and David are doing better, we were really afraid of the complications that Kent was going thru. Other hand Becky is really sick and can't take most of her meds. She is too stubborn to go to the ER.

All of them are on the down side of the swine flu, Becky really took it hard because of her mdeical conditions.

But they are all at home now. We will not start production again until after Dec 1.

All of them are at home now, but becky put on some weight, like about 20 pounds. The high school kids have to make up for missed classes and I don't know if Becky will be able to come back soon.

Becky is coming home tomorrow, but she will be out of commission for at least two weeks.

The doctors are giving here a list of things to avoid, like smoking working around many materials, etc.

Becky is home, but on O2, so she is retiring from bullet casting.

It's just the flu that is going around, Becky has many other problems, so maybe it's time she retired.

In January, we will probably reconsitutte the business in a different form.

But the bullets that we make special will still be Becky's Badass Bullets. People around here are trying to figure out who Becky is. Her name is really Becky, but her last name is not Badass.

it's bullets right ? lolz ,
the flu affected everyone differently ...it knocked me out for two weeks and was a bleep,i have friends who altho they didnt develop severe symptoms they are still coughing crud up from it ,i'm also a lil too late for needing the vaccine ( which will be worthless if it mutates like it usually does)the weirdest part ? they are now saying that the regular flu will more than likely kill more people than the swine flu ( umm explain against the past uproar and diabolical warnings from the various health depts. about it etc ...)i am however glad that becky is home and alive , she has my thoughts .

Fry,

Becky has Lupus and a few other health problems, that is why this flu hit her so hard.

I gave her a chance to make some extra money by casting and also talking to the local shops. I will give her a "bonus" out of my pocket to help her along with Christmas. But in these times it is hard to make ends meet for a lot of folks, so I try to help those who are trying to help themselves.

I have decided to close up shop when the current orders are filled. This will probably be in late January. I will be casting bullets for myself and for friends.

This is a hard decisions, material costs seem to go up every time I turn around, To keep costs down I used part timers and high school kids, that hasn't worked out very well during these times. Sometimes I get great deals on raw materials, but I have to be able to break down the materials to usable sizes or add more alloy to bring the product up to my standards.

Customers yell at me just as loud as they do the big box stores or the distributors, but I asked if they want to come over and cast your order up, just for the cost of energy and the raw amterials, no one has come over. No depreciating the capital investment or the hard costs of materials and space would be in that offer, still no one wants to come over, as it is when I do an order for a business, the prices they want to pay is slightly over my actual costs. If I have to cut up a 100 pound bar of lead, how much time do I charge off to the end product, where does the cost of tools come into the equation?

So in short I don't make any money to buy new equipment and expand the business.

Everything has been coming out of my pocket, and those pockets aren't that deep any more.

I have decided to alter my casting arrnagement some, I will cast bullets for forum members, but it has to be when I am doing that calibers. I have many speciatly molds that people can not buy any longer and I thought I would at least share.
