I have squirrels in my walls and of course right in the middle of changing out scopes in my RWS. My eyes are just not good enough for the standard iron sights on the gun.
The RWS scope mount which was an expensive piece of junk fails me and I need a fast fix. I figure I'll smear a little J-B Weld on to secure the scope NOW and deal with taking it off later.
I know I'm asking for trouble since I personally know guys who have used this stuff to fix cracked engine blocks but it's only an airgun bought to kill varmints so...

7 of the 8 globs of J-B Weld cracked due to the recoil.
I've heard air guns can destroy a regular rifle scope in short notice due to the unique recoil they produce.
It looks like a $75.00 scope mount will have to be ordered. RWS shoot very high so you need something to compensate for or you might not have enough internal scope adjustment for height.

This looks like one bad ass air rifle scope mount which should do the trick.
What I would have given as a kid in the old days in the city dump with a 1000 fps air gun and scope. Yaaaa to be 12 years old again and spend a day at the city dump killing rats
