I am sick and tired of banning upwards of 40 spammers a day using a bogus gmail email address. 
I am sorry but IT IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE to use a gmail address to register here.I still allow yahoo and hotmail addresses so either use another email address or create a yahoo account.
Sorry for the inconvenience but this spam invasion is getting out of hand

WELL I JUST JOINED AND I HAVE AN GMAIL ADDRESS. I AM JUST GETTING INTO RELOADING AND THIS SITE WAS RECOMMENDED TO ME AS A GREAT SITE. I DO UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM WITH SPAMMERS AS I MODERATE A SITE ALSO. SO, IF YOU ARE GOING TO NOT HONOR MY REGISTRATION PLEASE LET ME KNOW I WILL NOT BE OFFENDED. THANKS EVERYONE IN ADVANCE.

I had a heck of a problem with forum spammers on a board. I cut it down considerably by checking the IP from which the registration originated and adding it to my global ban list. For example, 141.105.66.160 is but one of many unsecured addresses and it was entered as +b 141.*.*.* The spamming got to the point where so long as an IP wasn't in North America, the entire range had to be banned. That and banning certain mail servers has cut it down to a dull roar...

I had no idea of the gmail issues. Did take me a few tries to register before I read the gmail notice and set up a yahoo email, which let me join. When I figure out how to, I'll probably revert to my gmail, so I'll actually see items from here. Other than being a bit confusing for those that jump in and don't read instructions....it's definately a solution for an obviously ridiculous spammer problem.

Timberghozt, so this is why I do not get notified of posts? Am I allowed to use AOL? What do you recommend?
The auto saver ability is why I use gmail. But, after watching the video, I may delete gmail. Will I still be able to use Mozilla Firefox? Or should I use some other browser as well as EMail provider?
Oh how do I change my profile and settings?

cfmule, You may go into your profile and change to a g-mail address once you are a full member. We cut off the G-mail registry because we had so many spammers with g-mail accounts. To edit your profile look at the top of the page under the large cartridge and click on menu/my account/profile and change it. RD

I appear to be a full member. I am set up with a Gmail address. Can I change it to AOL? Or, are you saying that it is okay to use Gmail once I become a full member?
